Hi Kelly; thanks for stopping by my blog. We have even more in common than you realize. I lived in Nebraska (Omaha) for 7 years before I decided to come back home to Idaho in 1993. I love your handmade paper. I've been wanting to give that a try. On your Clinic with a Heart card, how did you color the background? And I love your craft room. I'll have to post my area sometime; but I would need to clean it up first. LOL

Christine,
I was born and raised in Omaha, moved to Lincoln in 1990. What part of Omaha were you in?
On the Clinic With A Heart card I just dabbed a cotton ball on an ink pad and then onto the paper. It actually works great as snow on winter cards.
I totally understand the "cleaning" the craft room, I'm glad I took the picture when I did because it sure isn't that tidy now! LOL

Hi Kelly; I think the neighborhood was called Dundee; does that sound familiar? I know I live on California St Ave (something). I worked for National Indemnity insurance company. It is one of Warren's companies. I wish we lived close. We could get together so you could teach me to make paper.

I would love to help you out with the Clinic with a Heart if that's ok. What kind of things do they need?

I love your book and cards. I have my sister in laws name for Christmas this year. I'm going to make some cards and stationery for her. I found a site where they have a folder/box thing to put cards and stationery on. I'm going to do some of the challenges to get some cards made over the next several months. I think she'll really like it.

Wow, it just started raining really hard. I'm sure glad I let the pup out a few minutes ago.

Talk to you later, alligator!

Hi Christine,
Yes I know the Dundee area well. I went to school at Omaha Benson which is just North of Dundee. There was a Baskin Robins on 50th and Underwood and my dad would treat us to ice cream there once in a while. I came from a large family so special treats like that were few and far between. But my parents always made them special.
I learned how to make paper from a couple of web sites, here's a link to one of them http://www.flickr.com/photos/bzedan/sets/967347/
If you do a google search for making paper you'll find a video tutorial. I would send you the link but I'm at work and it is blocked by our filter.
